We used Lunch Loop to connect the bottom of Holy Cross to the Widowmaker Hill. We did a quick run down Holy Cross to escape the rain. By the time we got to the bottom, the rain had moved off, so we headed back up the hill again. This trail gives you a great view of the valley and has some rocky sections. It isn't terribly challenging or noteworthy. What is noteworthy is the Widowmaker Hill at the top of this trail. It is steep and nasty. There are some big rocks and plenty of loose stuff. I put it in the granny gear and started cranking. I was amazed at how far I made it up before I lost traction and had to hike it. I imagine on a bike with suspension, I could have gone a bit further. Who knows. I'll give it a try when I get back next year.
